International Connectors and Cable ICPCSG25BK Patch Cord CAT 6A FTP 25 FT Black

Overview

The International Connectors and Cable ICPCSG25BK is a 25-foot, Category 6A, Shielded Twisted Pair (FTP) Ethernet patch cable. It's designed to provide a stable and high-performance network connection for demanding surveillance environments, ensuring data integrity for video streams and device communication. This cable is suitable for installations where electromagnetic interference (EMI) is a concern, such as near power cables or in industrial settings. The black jacket color aids in cable management and identification within a rack or deployment.

Compatibility

This Cat 6A FTP cable is backward compatible with Cat 5e and Cat 6 standards but is optimized for Cat 6A performance, supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) up to 100 meters. It is compatible with any network device requiring an RJ45 Ethernet connection, including IP cameras, network video recorders (NVRs), network switches, and servers. Specifically, it's ideal for high-bandwidth applications such as 4K IP camera streams and high-speed data transfers where signal integrity is critical.

Installation Notes

Ensure the cable is routed away from high-voltage power lines or sources of significant EMI to maintain optimal performance. Use appropriate cable management accessories to avoid kinks or excessive strain on the connectors, which could compromise the shielding and connection integrity. The FTP construction requires proper grounding at both ends for maximum effectiveness against interference.
