What to Look For

Fail-secure is the standard on most interior commercial openings; fail-safe is required on stair doors, areas of refuge, and egress paths where local code demands free exit. Match voltage to the existing door control panel. ANSI Grade 1 strikes are rated for the heaviest commercial cycles and are recommended on high-traffic doors.

Common Deployment Scenarios

Electric strikes are used on perimeter storefronts, tenant entries, office suite doors, and interior security-zone doors. They are commonly paired with a request-to-exit sensor and door position contact to complete the opening monitoring required by audit trails.
