Overview

The StarTech CPANEL48 is a 48-port, 2U rackmount patch panel designed to organize and terminate copper Ethernet cabling. It provides a centralized point for connecting network devices and managing cable runs within a standard 19-inch rack, essential for maintaining clean infrastructure in server rooms or network closets. This panel supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds, ensuring compatibility with most modern network equipment.

Compatibility

This patch panel is designed for use with standard Cat6, Cat5e, and Cat5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) network cables. It terminates via standard punch-down (110-type) connections on the rear, compatible with common network termination tools. The 19-inch width ensures fitment into any standard network or server rack. It supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-Tx, and 1000BASE-T Ethernet protocols, making it suitable for a wide range of network deployments, including IP surveillance systems, data networks, and VoIP infrastructure.

Installation Notes

The panel requires standard 110-type punch-down tools for cable termination. Its 2U height occupies two rack spaces. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C (32°F to 158°F), and storage temperature range is -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F). It requires a humidity level between 0% and 50% (non-condensing) for optimal operation.
