Overview
The EPP2 is a pedestal adapter plate designed to mount Pelco ESPRIT camera systems directly to pedestal-style bases. This NDAA-compliant component bridges the gap between your pan-tilt head and a pedestal mount, eliminating the need for intermediate wall or pole adapters when your installation calls for a pedestal foundation. It fits the specific mounting footprint of ESPRIT units and uses three 10-32 fasteners — all you need to secure the assembly without additional hardware sourcing.
Compatibility
The EPP2 works exclusively with Pelco ESPRIT camera systems. ESPRIT is Pelco's modular platform for pan-tilt-zoom heads; the EPP2 accepts the standard ESPRIT interface, making it compatible with any ESPRIT-series head in your deployment. Do not use this adapter with non-ESPRIT pan-tilt units — the mounting footprint will not align.
Installation Notes
The adapter includes three 10-32 x 1/2-inch Phillips flathead screws for attachment to the pedestal mount. Before installing outdoors, apply sealant around the fastener holes to prevent water intrusion — this is non-negotiable for roof or wall-mounted pedestals. Use stainless steel hardware for all outdoor connections to resist corrosion. The mounting surface (pedestal base) must be capable of supporting at least four times the maximum load of your ESPRIT head assembly — verify pedestal load rating before final installation. No conduit fittings or additional mounting hardware ship with the EPP2; confirm your pedestal's bolt pattern and fastener size before ordering.
