Middle Atlantic EFB10S-OG EVO 10GNG On-Grade Floor Box
The EFB10S-OG is an on-grade floor box built for Middle Atlantic's Middle Atlantic EVO rack enclosure line, specifically the 10GNG series. "On Grade" refers to the mounting configuration — this floor box is designed to sit at or near floor level rather than requiring a raised or recessed installation, which matters when you're planning a rack room layout with limited sub-floor clearance. EFB10S-OG (often searched as EFB10S OG) is built to integrate directly with the EVO 10GNG enclosure footprint, so confirm your rack model against the 10GNG designation before ordering.
Overview
This is a foundation component for EVO 10GNG rack deployments, not a standalone enclosure. If you're specifying a full rack room or a single NVR cabinet install, the floor box is one piece of the base-and-anchoring picture alongside the enclosure itself.
Key Features
- On-Grade Configuration: Sits at floor level rather than requiring a recessed pit — simplifies installation in slab-on-grade facilities where you can't cut into the floor.
- TAA Compliant: Meets Trade Agreements Act sourcing requirements, which matters for government and federal-adjacent procurement where TAA compliance is a hard requirement in the bid.
- Purpose-Built for EVO 10GNG: Matched dimensionally to the 10GNG enclosure series, so you're not improvising a mounting interface in the field.
Integration & Compatibility
The EFB10S-OG is designed to pair with Middle Atlantic's EVO 10GNG enclosures. When you're planning the rest of the rack room, check rack mount accessories for the enclosure itself plus any cable management and power distribution you'll need alongside it. For guidance on sizing out a full equipment room, a PoE and power planning guide can help you work backward from your rack's total load before you finalize the floor box and enclosure order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What rack enclosure does the EFB10S-OG fit?
A: It's built for Middle Atlantic's EVO 10GNG series enclosures.
Q: What does "On Grade" mean for this floor box?
A: On Grade means the unit is configured to install at or near floor level rather than in a recessed or raised sub-floor pit.
Q: Is the EFB10S-OG TAA compliant?
A: Yes, the EFB10S-OG is TAA compliant, which supports procurement under federal Trade Agreements Act requirements.
The EFB10S-OG is a narrow but important spec call in an EVO 10GNG rack build — it's the on-grade floor box, and getting the grade configuration right up front saves a rework later.
Technical Highlights:
- On-Grade Mounting: Installs at floor level instead of needing a recessed sub-floor pit — the right call for slab-on-grade rooms where cutting the floor isn't an option.
- TAA Compliance: Sourced to meet Trade Agreements Act requirements, which is often a pass/fail line item on federal and state government bids.
- EVO 10GNG Fit: Matched to the 10GNG enclosure series specifically — don't cross-shop this against other EVO enclosure sizes without confirming fit.
Deployment Considerations:
- Confirm your enclosure is the 10GNG variant before ordering — Middle Atlantic's EVO line runs multiple footprints and the floor box is not universal across them.
- Because this is a base/foundation component, plan it alongside the enclosure and any raised-floor or cable-entry requirements rather than as an afterthought.
Specify the EFB10S-OG when you're building out a slab-on-grade equipment room around an EVO 10GNG enclosure and need a floor-level mounting interface rather than a recessed pit — particularly on TAA-restricted government or federal-adjacent projects.
