The Chief CMS0203W is a 2-3 foot adjustable extension column designed to provide flexible mounting height for projectors and displays. This accessory allows integrators to precisely position AV equipment in environments with varying ceiling heights or specific viewing angle requirements. It offers 24 inches of vertical adjustment within its 2-3 foot range, ensuring optimal placement for clear visuals. The CMS0203W is built for commercial installations where reliable and secure mounting is critical.
This extension column is compatible with Chief's CMS series projector and display mounts, as well as other Chief mounts that utilize the CMS column interface. It is designed to integrate with standard 1.5" NPT threaded posts, a common standard in professional AV installations. Verify compatibility with your specific Chief mount model or consult the Chief catalog for a comprehensive list of compatible accessories.
Installation requires a secure mounting point capable of supporting the combined weight of the column, the mounted display or projector, and any associated hardware. Ensure the ceiling structure or wall mount is rated for the total load. The column's adjustment mechanism requires a T20 Torx wrench (not included) for setting the desired height. Proper torque should be applied to the set screws to prevent slippage while avoiding damage to the column.
