Description

Middle Atlantic WMFB2KS8N Two-Gang Floor Box with Dual 4-Port Openings

Overview

The Middle Atlantic WMFB2KS8N is a two-gang, dual 4-port opening floor box assembly finished in nickel, designed for in-floor AV and low-voltage cable management in commercial spaces. This is part of the WMFB2KS8 series — a wood floor box platform built for environments where flush, furniture-level connectivity is required: boardrooms, training rooms, open-plan offices, and collaboration spaces where cable drops from the ceiling are not practical. The WMFB2KS8N designation specifies the nickel finish variant, matching the finish families commonly used in commercial furniture and architectural millwork. Each of the two gangs accepts up to four port inserts, giving you up to eight individual termination points per box — enough to handle a mix of HDMI, USB, Cat6, and audio connectors in a single floor location without running multiple discrete raceways.

Compatibility

The WMFB2KS8N is part of the Middle Atlantic WMFB2KS8 series and is designed to accept standard Decora-style and keystone-format inserts compatible with that series. It is intended for use with Middle Atlantic's WMFB series floor box ecosystem — confirm insert compatibility against the specific WMFB2KS8 series insert lineup before specifying third-party modules. The nickel finish coordinates with Middle Atlantic's broader AV furniture and rack accessory line where nickel-tone hardware is specified. Not TAA compliant — exclude from federally funded projects with TAA requirements.

Installation Notes

Designed for installation in wood subfloor construction. Verify rough-in depth and cutout dimensions against the WMFB2KS8 series installation template before cutting. The two-gang configuration requires adequate floor void depth to accommodate the box body and any cable bend radius for the connector types being terminated. Route low-voltage cables separately from AC runs in compliance with local electrical code.
