Hanwha Vision (rebranded from Hanwha Techwin in 2023) is the surveillance division of Hanwha Corporation, the Korean industrial conglomerate that acquired Samsung Techwin in 2015. The Wisenet product family spans entry-level Wisenet L, professional Wisenet Q and X, and enterprise Wisenet P cameras, plus WAVE and SSM VMS platforms, Wisenet SKY cloud-based video management, and network video recorders.

Hanwha's engineering centerpiece is the Wisenet 7 system-on-chip — a fully in-house designed ISP + AI coprocessor that runs on-camera deep-learning analytics including object classification, attribute search, and LPR. Wisenet 7 powers the P-series flagship cameras and is being rolled out across the mid-tier X-series. Below those, the Q and L series use Wisenet SoC generations without on-camera AI but with the same image quality and VMS integration.

All Hanwha cameras are NDAA Section 889 compliant, manufactured in Korea and Vietnam (not China), and include signed firmware with device certificate-based mutual TLS authentication.
