Compatibility
The SM5110-LR is compatible with TP-Link Omada switches featuring SFP+ module slots (check your switch datasheet for slot count and SFP+ support). Verify your Omada switch model supports 10GBase-LR wavelength recognition before deployment. Not compatible with RJ-45 copper SFP+ modules or switches lacking SFP+ hot-swap capability.
Installation Notes
Insert the transceiver into an available SFP+ slot until the latch clicks — the module will be recognized automatically by the switch. Pair only with single-mode fiber patch cables terminated with LC duplex connectors. Ensure fiber ends are clean and free of dust; use lint-free wipes and IPA if needed. Do not remove the transceiver while links are active; disable the port in the switch management interface first to avoid brief packet loss.
