Overview

The HID SIGNO 40 reader is a wall-mounted credential interface supporting multiple smart card technologies and mobile authentication methods. Black body with silver trim and pigtail connector configuration. Deployed in access control systems requiring multi-protocol reader capability across enterprise and healthcare environments.

Credential Support

Supports iCLASS (standard, SR, SE), MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2, MIFARE Classic, NFC, and HID Mobile Access via BLE. Credential profile 02 (Smart) configuration. ICE2581 encryption key enabled. Anti-passback functionality protects against credential reuse at a single access point.

Communication & Features

Wiegand output protocol for system integration. LED status indicators (red idle, green read) with audible beep confirmation. Tamper detection enabled. Automatic surface detection optimizes read performance. Management and provisioning via BLE and NFC. Bluetooth Tap Mode enables mobile credential presentation.
