Overview

The 716T is a plug-in screw terminal accessory that replaces the standard wiring harness supplied with the DMP 716 Output Expansion Module. Use it when you need to swap from pre-terminated harness connectivity to individual screw-terminal field wiring — a common requirement when integrating into existing control loops, relay circuits, or panel-mounted systems where hardwired connections are preferred over quick-disconnect harnesses.

Compatibility

The 716T is designed exclusively for the DMP 716 Output Expansion Module. It functions as a direct plug-in replacement for the standard terminal harness, requiring no additional adapters or modifications. Verify your expansion module is the 716 (not a different model in the DMP expansion line) before ordering.

Installation Notes

Remove the pre-terminated harness from the 716 Output Expansion Module by depressing the terminal release tabs. Insert the 716T plug connector into the same socket until it seats fully. Wire field circuits (alarm loops, relay contacts, 12VDC returns) to individual screw terminals using 18–22 AWG stranded wire. Ensure terminal screws are tightened firmly to prevent intermittent connections under vibration or thermal cycling — a common failure mode in industrial access-control cabinets.
