Description

ATEN CE610A USB 2.0 DVI HDBaseT KVM Extender

Overview

The ATEN CE610A is a HDBaseT KVM extender designed to transmit DVI video and USB 2.0 signals over a single Cat5e/6 cable up to 300 feet (100 meters). This unit is crucial for deploying control stations or workstations remotely from the host computer, maintaining high-fidelity video and responsive USB peripheral control. Its rack-mountable form factor makes it suitable for integration into server rooms or centralized equipment racks.

Compatibility

This extender is designed to work with DVI-D single-link video sources and USB 2.0 devices. It requires a compatible HDBaseT receiver unit (sold separately) at the remote end to complete the extension. The CE610A is engineered for point-to-point extension, suitable for scenarios where a direct connection between a console and a server or PC is needed at a distance. It supports a maximum USB 2.0 transfer rate of up to 40Mbps, ensuring reliable operation for keyboards, mice, and other standard USB peripherals.

Installation Notes

The ATEN CE610A operates within a humidity range of 0–80% RH, non-condensing. For rack-mount products, physical dimensions are expressed in a LxWxH format. The unit utilizes a single RJ-45 connector for the HDBaseT link and a dedicated green connector for the DVI video signal. Ensure the Cat5e/6 cable used for extension is properly terminated and tested for optimal performance up to the 300 ft range.
