Overview

The AF60-XR is a 60 GHz millimeter-wave bridge designed for high-capacity point-to-point links in enterprise campus networks, carrier backhaul, and last-mile access scenarios. Operating in the unlicensed 60 GHz band, it delivers multi-gigabit throughput without consuming licensed spectrum — a meaningful cost advantage for building-to-building interconnects where fiber installation is impractical. The unit weighs 8.6 kg (19 lb) without mount, 13 kg (28.7 lb) with the included galvanized steel mount, and measures 779 × 664 × 383 mm. The precision alignment kit ships with the AF60-XR and supports pole diameters from Ø40 to 80 mm, enabling secure outdoor installation on existing infrastructure.

Compatibility

The AF60-XR integrates into Ubiquiti's management ecosystem via UniFi controller or AirLink interface. Ethernet connectivity supports standard IP network integration. The 60 GHz operating band (5150–5875 MHz worldwide, U-NII-1 and U-NII-3 in US/CA) provides inherent security through atmospheric attenuation, reducing off-axis interference compared to lower-frequency point-to-point links.
