Overview

The EAP772 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access point designed for high-density enterprise deployments—warehouses, manufacturing floors, and logistics facilities where dozens of mobile computers, barcode scanners, and IoT devices contend for airtime simultaneously. It delivers 11 Gbps aggregate throughput across three bands: 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 4,320 Mbps on 5 GHz, and 5,760 Mbps on 6 GHz. The 320 MHz channel bandwidth and multi-link operation (MLO) reduce packet collisions and latency, critical when automated systems demand low-jitter handoffs. The ceiling mount form factor fits standard drop-ceiling grids or wall installations without consuming floor space, and dual power options (802.3at PoE+ or 12V/2.5A DC) provide flexibility where PoE infrastructure is incomplete or redundancy is required.

Compatibility

The EAP772 integrates with TP-Link Omada SDN controllers for centralized management across multi-site deployments. It supports band steering and load balancing to prevent airtime congestion on any single access point—essential in facilities running dozens of APs. The 6 GHz band (where RFC allows) operates unlocked by AFC, delivering genuinely clean spectrum in congested RF environments where legacy 2.4/5 GHz channels are already saturated. Not suitable for outdoor exposure; use the EAP772-Outdoor variant for yard or perimeter applications.

Installation Notes

The EAP772 accepts either 802.3at PoE+ (maximum 25.44 W consumption, US model) or the included 12V DC adapter. Choose PoE+ if your network switch supports it; the DC adapter is valuable in facilities where power strips are more readily available than PoE injectors. Ceiling mounting requires standard drop-ceiling clips or optional wall brackets. Omada SDN controller and mobile app eliminate per-device configuration, accelerating rollout across multi-building sites.
