Overview

The AP9670 is a ceiling-mount Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point built for medium-to-large enterprise deployments where consistent dual-band coverage and centralized control matter — warehouses, office floors, and security operations centers. It delivers 4,804 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz via a 6-stream architecture, with a single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink that prevents bottlenecking on modern enterprise switches. The key differentiator is the 2.5G port: on high-density floors with dozens of APs, standard 1G uplinks become the constraint, not the radio. Power comes via 802.3at PoE (up to 30W) or optional 12VDC supply — no AC conduit needed in ceiling cavities. Coverage reaches approximately 1,500 ft² per unit in typical ceiling-mount scenarios.

Compatibility

The AP9670 integrates with the TP-Link Omada SDN ecosystem — either a hardware Omada Controller or cloud-free software controller. Omada management enables centralized provisioning, seamless roaming across multiple APs, client load balancing, and AI-Channel Optimization that dynamically adjusts transmit power and band assignment based on live traffic patterns.
