TP-Link EAP723 Omada BE5000 Ceiling Mount Wi-Fi 7 Access Point
Overview
The EAP723 is a ceiling-mounted dual-band Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) access point for enterprise environments requiring high-density coverage and seamless client roaming. It delivers 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 4,324 Mbps on 5 GHz — the wider 240 MHz bandwidth (US) and advanced 4K-QAM modulation reduce latency and packet collision in dense deployments with 128+ concurrent clients per band. This matters when mobile devices (scanners, tablets, smartphones) move between coverage zones or when multiple access points must backhaul traffic without bottlenecks. The single 2.5G RJ-45 port eliminates Gigabit ceiling limitations — critical when feeding 2–3 APs through a single uplink to your network switch.
Compatibility
The EAP723 integrates into the Omada software-defined networking (SDN) platform, compatible with Omada Hardware Controllers and the Omada mobile app for centralized provisioning, monitoring, and orchestration across multiple access points. Supports 802.3at PoE+ (power-over-ethernet) from compatible PoE switches or 12VDC adapter power (sold separately). MU-MIMO, beamforming, and band steering work across any Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 client; seamless roaming requires all APs in the same Omada network. Wireless isolation, VLAN tagging, and rogue AP detection integrate with enterprise authentication (RADIUS, 802.1X) and MAC filtering (4,000 entries max).
Installation Notes
Ceiling or wall mounting — mounting brackets included in package. Operating temperature range 0 °C–40 °C (32 °F–104 °F); do not install in unheated or outdoor spaces. Verify PoE switch supplies 802.3at on the target port before deployment. If using 12VDC adapter, ensure local power outlet access near ceiling mount. Omada Controller (hardware or cloud-based) must be accessible on the same network segment for initial provisioning and ongoing management.
