Overview
The DECO X55(1-PACK) is a single-unit mesh Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) node for small-to-medium coverage areas or as a starting point for a multi-node mesh deployment. It combines 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz for a total throughput of 2976 Mbps, making it practical for residential or small office use where wireless bandwidth is split across multiple devices. The three integrated Gigabit ports (WAN/LAN auto-sensing) eliminate the need for a separate switch in basic topologies, and the HE160 channel width on 5 GHz maximizes throughput when devices are in close range.
Compatibility
The DECO X55(1-PACK) operates as a standalone router or access point and integrates with any standard Wi-Fi 6 device (smartphones, laptops, tablets, IoT devices supporting 802.11ax, 802.11ac, or legacy 802.11b/g/n). It supports Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands for Wi-Fi management. HomeShield features (parental controls, antivirus, QoS, activity reports) are device-agnostic and apply to any client on the network. If expanding beyond one unit, additional DECO X55 nodes can be added to form a mesh cluster via the Deco App.
Installation Notes
The DECO X55 runs in Router or Access Point mode — select mode in the Deco App during setup. Internal antennas simplify placement but require open airflow; avoid enclosing the unit in cabinets. The auto-sensing WAN/LAN ports detect the uplink automatically, so either port can be connected to your modem or upstream switch. IPv6 and IPTV are both supported if your ISP provides them. For optimal performance, position the unit in a central location at least 12 inches away from walls, metal objects, and other RF sources.
