Description

TP-Link DECO X50(3-PACK) AX3000 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System

Overview

The DECO X50(3-PACK) is a three-unit AX3000 mesh Wi-Fi 6 system designed for whole-home coverage across residential and small commercial deployments. Each unit operates as both a router and extender, eliminating single points of failure and dead zones common in traditional single-AP architectures. This three-pack covers typical suburban homes and light commercial spaces where wired backhaul is impractical or impossible.

Compatibility

The DECO X50 integrates with standard 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax client devices — laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers, IoT sensors, and surveillance IP cameras that support Wi-Fi 6 or earlier standards. The system runs TP-Link's Deco app for iOS and Android, which handles provisioning, network naming, band steering, and guest network configuration on any smartphone. Works alongside existing wired Ethernet infrastructure — units can be hardwired via backhaul ports for improved stability in fixed installations.

Installation Notes

Position the primary unit near your internet gateway or modem; secondary units should be placed 30–50 feet away to maintain strong backhaul signal. Each unit requires a standard 100–240V AC power outlet. Power consumption is modest — each Deco unit draws approximately 8–10W under typical load. No special tools or configuration is needed beyond the smartphone app; the system auto-detects and configures the mesh network on first boot. If wired backhaul is available, connect a secondary unit via Ethernet for higher throughput and lower latency on that branch of the network.
