Overview
The STI-1229HTR240-WD is a NEMA 4X rated heated dome enclosure designed to protect strobe-only warning appliances in outdoor and harsh environmental conditions. The unit houses the strobe light within a clear protective dome while maintaining optical performance through a centered lens opening — critical for fire alarm and emergency signal systems that depend on unobstructed light transmission across installation distances.
Compatibility
This enclosure is compatible with AMSECO strobe units including the SL24W-153075 series, and supports aftermarket colored lens accessories for the same platform. The dome is purpose-built for strobe-only applications (not combination appliances with audio). Verify your existing strobe manufacturer and model against the AMSECO compatibility matrix before ordering.
Installation Notes
Mount using the (6) provided Rawl plugs and #10 × 1.5 inch screws, drilling 3/16 inch diameter holes 1 inch deep into the mounting surface. The clear lens section must be centered directly over the strobe light to prevent optical loss — misalignment reduces signal visibility. Installation must comply with NEC, NFPA 72, and local fire codes. For added environmental protection in corrosive or salt-spray conditions, order the SUB-123 Enviro Kit separately, which includes (6) #8-32 × 3/4 inch socket head cap screws and adhesive gasket material. The adhesive-backed gasket seals the cover-to-spacer joint; the conduit sealing gasket (included) protects internal wiring connections. Heated models require 240V power supply (verify available circuit capacity before installation).
