STI NT-SS000-EN NoTouch Contactless Switch
Overview
The NT-SS000-EN is a hands-free infrared contactless switch built for door access control in public buildings, healthcare facilities, and hygiene-sensitive environments. It mounts in slim profile or mullion configurations with an integrated back box, operating at 12VDC. The switch uses NoTouch® infrared detection (4cm–15cm detection range) to trigger door unlock or strike release without physical contact — eliminating touch surface contamination in high-traffic entry points and supporting ADA compliance requirements.
Compatibility
The NT-SS000-EN is a Form C dry contact relay output (0.5A @ 120VAC, 1A @ 24VDC) compatible with standard electronic strikes, magnetic locks, and gate operators controlled by access control panels. It connects to 12VDC–24VDC power supplies and integrates into any access control system that accepts momentary or adjustable relay closure signals (0.5–20 second latch adjustable). Suitable for retrofit installations where conventional push buttons create accessibility or cross-contamination risk.
Installation Notes
Faceplate is medical/food-grade 304 stainless steel with oversized coverage to conceal old installation marks in retrofit scenarios. Operating temperature range 14°F to 70°C (–10°C to 70°C). Power draw: 35mA max (slim model) or 45mA (standard). IP65 rating handles incidental splashing in indoor institutional environments — do not use in direct submersion or high-pressure wash applications. One-year manufacturer warranty covers electromechanical and electronic components; mechanical relay rated 1,000,000 cycles, IR sensor 100,000 hours. LED state indicator (red/green or green/red selectable) indicates standby/active status.
