Overview
The NT-SS202-EN is a double-gang contactless (NoTouch) stainless steel switch assembly rated IP65, designed for hands-free exit and access control in public buildings, healthcare facilities, and high-traffic secure areas. Infrared motion detection eliminates touch points—a real advantage in environments where germ transmission is a concern (hospitals, government buildings, commercial corridors). The faceplate is medical/food-grade 304 stainless steel; the button is polycarbonate. Double-gang configuration lets you wire two separate circuits or dual-function control logic from a single plate.
Compatibility
The NT-SS202-EN integrates with STI NoTouch access control systems and any standard 12VDC control loop. Confirm compatibility with your existing door strike, reader, and control panel wiring before installation. The device outputs a Form C dry contact (0.5A @ 120VAC, 1A @ 24VDC), so it pairs with standard electromagnetic locks, magnetic locks, and relay-driven strike solenoids. Verify your panel's 12VDC output capacity—maximum draw is 45mA per switch in the dual-gang configuration.
Installation Notes
Operating temperature range: 14°F to 158°F (−10°C to 70°C). Detection range is 1.5–6 inches (4–15 cm, ±25% tolerance)—position the switch so users can wave their hand naturally in front of it without obstruction. The faceplate is oversized to cover old installation marks in retrofit scenarios. State-indicator LED (red/green default, selectable) shows standby and active status. Adjustable relay latch time is 0.5–20 seconds, configurable at commissioning.
