Overview

The STI BPP1010 is a 10-inch by 8-inch polycarbonate back panel designed to protect access control readers, strike assemblies, and wiring from outdoor and harsh indoor environments. EnviroArmour construction provides weatherproof shielding while allowing standard 9VDC electronic readers and strike devices to mount directly. This panel solves the protection problem on exterior doors, covered porches, and corrosive environments where moisture, UV, and impact threaten bare electronics.

Compatibility

The BPP1010 integrates with STI electronic readers and strike assemblies rated for 9VDC operation. The panel is also compatible with third-party access control systems designed for surface-mount or recessed installation on standard door frames. Polycarbonate construction supports both vertical and horizontal mounting orientations depending on your reader layout.

Installation Notes

Mounting requires four 7mm masonry drill holes drilled through your door frame or mounting surface. Secure the panel with the supplied wall fixings. For outdoor installations, position the weather gasket over the device before securing the frame to ensure water sheds away from electronics. Surface installations can use included spacer inserts to blank off unused cable entry holes, preventing moisture intrusion. Impact-resistant polycarbonate resists vandalism and accidental strikes common at high-traffic entry points.
