STI BPP1210 Polycarbonate Back Panel
Overview
The BPP1210 is a 12" × 10" polycarbonate back panel engineered to protect access control reader and strike installations from moisture, dust, and physical damage in mixed indoor/outdoor environments. EnviroArmour® polycarbonate construction seals the rear of mounted devices, extending component life when facing salt spray, temperature swings, or high-humidity zones common in commercial loading docks, rooftop access points, and industrial door frames. Fits standard door frame installations where environmental sealing is required behind the active reader or strike.
Compatibility
The BPP1210 integrates with STI access control reader and strike assemblies operating at 9VDC. Compatible with standard electric strike and reader configurations in STI product families. Mount the back panel directly behind the reader or strike using the four fixing holes (7mm masonry drill) and provided wall anchors. Select and install the appropriate cable gasket based on your wiring system (surface mount or embedded cable entry).
Installation Notes
Position the BPP1210 frame centrally over the device to be protected. Mark and drill four 7mm holes using a masonry bit. Secure the frame with the provided wall fixings. For surface installations, use the spacer inserts to blank off unused cable entry holes. Position the weather gasket over the device before securing the frame with fixing screws to ensure a sealed perimeter. No special tools beyond a standard masonry drill are required.
