Pelco FUMS-GFX8 Unmanaged 8-Port Gigabit Fiber Switch
The Pelco FUMS-GFX8 is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for fiber-based surveillance network segments. With eight 1000 Mbps SFP fiber ports, this all-fiber solution delivers high-speed connectivity for distributed camera systems and inter-building backbone links where fiber optic cabling is deployed.
Key Features
- 8 × 1000 Mbps SFP fiber ports for all-fiber deployments
- Plug-and-play operation—no configuration required
- Support for mixed single-mode and multimode fiber on same switch
- NDAA Section 889 compliant for government and regulated facilities
- 1-year warranty backed by Pelco support
Technical Highlights
Each SFP port accepts compatible transceivers matched to installed fiber type and distance requirements. This flexibility enables deployments ranging from short-haul multimode connections to long-distance single-mode links without hardware changes. As an unmanaged switch, the FUMS-GFX8 requires no VLAN, QoS, or management configuration—ideal for straightforward point-to-point and backbone distribution scenarios.
Typical Applications
- Campus backbone distribution points
- Inter-building surveillance links
- Remote equipment enclosure connectivity
- Fiber-based video surveillance networks
Note: SFP transceivers are ordered separately. For mixed fiber and copper requirements, consider the FUMS-GFX4TX4 (4 SFP + 4 RJ45 ports). For 100 Mbps fiber switching, the FUMS-FFX8 provides Fast Ethernet speeds. This switch does not provide PoE output; use a managed switch if traffic segmentation or advanced switching features are required.
