Description

Middle Atlantic PDT-615C-NS Vertical Rack Power Distribution Strip

Overview

The PDT-615C-NS is a low-profile vertical rack PDU from the Middle Atlantic PDT Series — built for integrators who need to distribute 120V AC power inside a rack without burning a full rack unit on a horizontal strip. At 1.58" wide and 29.875" tall, it mounts vertically along the rack rail, keeping the outlet face accessible while leaving rack units free for active equipment. The PDT-615C-NS delivers six NEMA 5-15R receptacles on a single 15A circuit, with an onboard 15A circuit breaker that trips locally rather than pulling down an upstream panel breaker — a meaningful difference when a recorder or switch goes into a fault condition mid-deployment. Black anodized aluminum construction keeps weight down and dissipates heat passively. The 9-foot cord gives enough reach to a floor-mount PDU or wall outlet without extension cords.

Compatibility

Sized for standard 19-inch and 23-inch equipment racks used in physical security and AV infrastructure — compatible with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and open-frame racks that accept vertical rail-mount accessories. The NEMA 5-15R outlet pattern supports standard 120V rack equipment: NVRs, PoE switches, access control panels, video management servers, and similar low-to-mid draw devices. The 15A circuit is appropriate for loads that aggregate under roughly 1,440W continuous (80% of rated capacity) — if your rack load exceeds that, size up to a 20A PDU. The NEMA 5-15P plug is compatible with standard 15A and 20A (T-slot) receptacles.

Installation Notes

Mount vertically along the rear or side rail of the rack using the integrated mounting provisions. Confirm total connected load stays at or below 12A continuous (80% derating on a 15A breaker) before commissioning. The 29.875" height fits standard 14U-and-above rack depths; verify clearance in shallower enclosures before ordering. Cord exits at 9 feet — route along the rack's cable management channel to prevent strain on the inlet.
