Overview
The Middle Atlantic PDT-1020C-NS is a 10-outlet, 20A vertical power distribution unit from the PDT Series, engineered for rack deployments where horizontal U-space is too valuable to give up to a power strip. At 37.75 inches long and built from aluminum in a low-profile thin-vertical form factor, it mounts flush inside a standard EIA rack column without occupying any rack units — freeing every U for active gear. The 20A input on a NEMA 5-20P plug paired with 12 AWG cord means it can carry the full circuit safely; the integrated circuit breaker provides local overcurrent protection without requiring a separate trip to the panel. A 9 ft cord gives enough slack for most in-cabinet runs to a floor-level or wall PDU feed. UL Listed. Plug into a 20A NEMA 5-20R receptacle — this unit will not seat on a standard 15A outlet.
Compatibility
Fits any standard EIA 19-inch or 23-inch open-frame or enclosed rack with vertical mounting channels. Commonly deployed inside Middle Atlantic enclosures (BGR, BGRT, WRK, and ERK series) as well as third-party racks from Tripp Lite, APC, and Chatsworth that share standard vertical rail spacing. The 10x NEMA 5-20R outlets accept any standard NEMA 5-15 or 5-20 plug, making it compatible with NVRs, PoE switches, access control panels, video encoders, and other network video recorders or ancillary rack equipment drawing under 20A aggregate. Installation Notes
Mount vertically inside the rack using the integrated mounting provisions on the aluminum chassis — no additional brackets required for most Middle Atlantic enclosures. The 12 AWG cord and NEMA 5-20P plug require a 20A dedicated circuit; do not connect to a 15A branch circuit even via adapter. Verify total connected load stays below 20A (2,400W at 115V) to avoid nuisance trips on the built-in breaker. At 37.75 in overall length, confirm interior vertical clearance before ordering — some shallow-depth enclosures will not accommodate full-depth vertical strips without the cord exiting through a side knockout.
