Overview
The PDT-615C is a rack-mountable vertical power distribution strip from Middle Atlantic designed for AV and security equipment racks where horizontal real estate is tight. The PDT-615C delivers six NEMA 5-15R outlets on a 120V AC / 15A circuit with basic surge protection — the right fit for head-end closets, equipment racks, and server room builds where you need clean power distribution without a complex managed PDU. The thin, low-profile vertical form factor mounts along the interior rail of a standard rack, keeping outlets accessible without consuming 1U or 2U of horizontal shelf space. The 9 ft, 14 AWG cord gives enough reach to the nearest 20A wall circuit without an extension, and the NEMA 5-15P plug works with any standard 15A duplex outlet.
Compatibility
The PDT-615C is designed for integration into standard EIA 19-inch equipment racks and enclosures. It pairs naturally with NVR and DVR enclosures, AV rack builds, and Middle Atlantic rack enclosures including the WMRK, ERK, and BGR series where vertical mounting channels are present. The six NEMA 5-15R outlets accommodate standard IEC-connected rack gear via appropriate power cords. Circuit protection is rated at 15A, so total connected load must stay within that limit — plan accordingly if mixing NVRs, switches, and other always-on equipment on a single strip. RoHS EU Directive 2002/95/EC compliance makes this unit suitable for installations with environmental standards requirements.
Installation Notes
Mounts vertically along the interior side rails of compatible rack enclosures — verify your rack chassis includes a vertical mounting channel before ordering. The 14 AWG cord handles the full 15A load rating without derating. Basic surge protection is included but this is not a line conditioner or UPS — pair with an appropriate UPS or battery backup if uptime continuity is required for connected equipment.
