Overview

The Middle Atlantic PD-2415SC is a high-density vertical power distribution strip from the Select Series PD Slim line, built for rack deployments where outlet count and clearance both matter. It delivers 24 NEMA 5-15R receptacles on a 115V AC / 15A circuit with MOV surge suppression and an EMI filter — the combination that protects sensitive network, AV, and security hardware from line noise and transient spikes. At 60.60 inches tall with a 1.77" × 2.84" cross-section, the PD-2415SC mounts vertically inside a rack column without consuming a single rack unit of horizontal space, keeping every U available for active equipment. A 10-foot NEMA 5-15P input cord provides wall-outlet reach in most standard equipment room layouts. The onboard 15-amp circuit breaker means tripped protection resets without replacing a fuse — a practical advantage in 24/7 installed systems where downtime matters.

Compatibility

Designed for standard 19-inch and 23-inch open-frame and enclosed rack cabinets including Middle Atlantic's own rack furniture line (ERK, WRK, WMRK, and comparable series) as well as third-party racks that support vertical power channel mounting. The 15A / NEMA 5-15P input is compatible with standard 15-amp branch circuits found in most commercial and residential equipment rooms. The 24 NEMA 5-15R outlets accept any standard 3-prong 15-amp device plug, making it compatible with NVRs, PoE switches, video encoders, access control panels, intercoms, and other low-to-mid-draw security and network equipment. Not suited for 20A or 30A circuits without an adapter, and not rated for 240V international equipment.

Installation Notes

Mount vertically inside the rack's power channel using the integrated mounting provisions. The slim 1.77" × 2.84" profile is specifically dimensioned to fit standard Middle Atlantic vertical power channels without modification. Route the 10-foot input cord to the branch circuit before populating outlets — the cord is not field-replaceable. The 15-amp circuit breaker is the per-strip protection limit; if aggregate draw across 24 outlets approaches 15A, distribute loads across multiple circuits to avoid nuisance tripping. Color is black anodized, consistent with Middle Atlantic rack furniture aesthetics.
