The PD-2415SC-NS is a vertical-mount power distribution unit from Middle Atlantic's Select Series PD Slim High Density line — built for rack deployments where outlet count and horizontal space are both under pressure. At 1.77 inches wide and 60.60 inches tall, it mounts vertically inside a rack cabinet and delivers 24 NEMA 5-15R outlets on a single 15A circuit without consuming a rack unit. A reversed-style SC inlet keeps the power cord routing clean inside the enclosure, and a 10-foot NEMA 5-15P input cord reaches standard 15A branch circuits without an additional whip. The 15A circuit breaker provides overload protection — if downstream load spikes, you trip a breaker rather than lose power to the entire distribution chain. No surge suppression is included, so pair this with upstream surge protection on the branch circuit if your install requires it.
Compatibility
The PD-2415SC-NS fits standard EIA 19-inch and 23-inch rack cabinets with vertical PDU mounting channels — common in Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and open-frame racks from compatible manufacturers. The NEMA 5-15R outlets accept standard 15A North American plugs, making it appropriate for NVRs, managed PoE switches, access control panels, video management servers, and other rack-mounted security infrastructure drawing under 15A aggregate. Because this is a single 15A circuit with no switched/independently controlled outlet groups (outlets are listed as switched/constant configuration), load planning is critical — keep total connected draw to 12A or below to stay within the 80% continuous-load rule. Installation Notes
Mount vertically inside the rack using the cabinet's PDU bracket channel — the slim 1.77-inch width is engineered for side-mount positions that preserve full rack-unit depth for equipment. The 10-foot input cord with NEMA 5-15P plug connects directly to a standard 15A wall or PDU outlet; no hardwire connection or electrician required. Route the cord to minimize strain at the SC inlet.
