Overview

The KT-1DE2-WTC is a wall-mounted access control enclosure pre-wired for single-door installations. Factory-installed wiring harness eliminates internal cabinet wiring, cutting field labor and reducing commissioning time — the KT-1DE2-WTC ships ready to connect to the door strike and controller with no additional internal wiring required. This enclosure houses a Kantech KT-1-PCB controller and LifeSafety Power unified power module on a removable backplate, delivering both system power and lock power from a single wall-mounted unit. Input accepts 120VAC, 208VAC, or 230VAC (50/60Hz), and the enclosure outputs selectable 12VDC or 24VDC to the door lock — meaningful because you can standardize lock voltage across your facility or match existing equipment without field-level reconfigurations.

Compatibility

Designed for Kantech KT-1-PCB/2/4 controllers mounted on the removable backplate. The KT-1DE2-WTC integrates with Kantech Unified Power Systems architecture, supporting all standard Kantech access control lock types and strike mechanisms compatible with 12VDC or 24VDC output. Pre-wiring includes distribution harness for lock power, auxiliary power, and tamper connections — verify your lock and door hardware accept the selected voltage (12 or 24VDC) before deployment. Fire alarm interface (FAI) onboard allows centralized door release on emergency trigger.

Installation Notes

Wall-mount enclosure with predrilled backplate — standard screwdriver installation. Operating temperature range 32–122°F (0–50°C). Input voltage options (120/208/230VAC) must match facility power; consult site electrical specs before ordering. Fused lock and auxiliary outputs are controller-managed, protecting relays from high-current switching. Point-to-point wiring documentation is included with the backplate assembly. Pre-wiring harness eliminates cabinet-level wiring labor, but field technician must still verify lock voltage selection and route field wiring (door strike, reader, tamper) to the enclosure terminals.
