Overview
The KT-16DE6-WTA is a factory pre-wired access control enclosure rated for 16 doors, built around Kantech's unified power architecture. This unit arrives fully assembled with ProWire harness and factory-installed cabling — eliminating on-site internal wiring and reducing field labor during commissioning. Input accepts 120VAC, 208VAC, or 230VAC at 50/60Hz; output delivers dual 12VDC and 24VDC with fused lock and auxiliary power distribution controlled by the KT controller. The integrated intelligent battery management system recharges batteries 50% faster than older designs, includes automatic deep-discharge cutoff, and supports both SLA and LiFePO4 chemistries. Onboard fire alarm interface (FAI) triggers central door release on emergency condition. Enclosure is sized for mid-to-large commercial deployments (office parks, healthcare, education, retail) where installation speed and reduced commissioning labor are priorities.
Compatibility
The KT-16DE6-WTA integrates with Kantech KT-1-PCB/2/4 series access control panels mounted on the factory-drilled removable backplate. Prewired configuration includes point-to-point harness documentation and eliminates custom internal cabinet wiring between power modules and controllers. Unit is compatible with standard electromagnetic and electromechanical strikes powered from the fused lock outputs, and supports auxiliary device loads (door status sensors, request-to-exit buttons, audible alarms) on the fused auxiliary outputs.

Factory pre-wired harness requires only field connections to AC mains, controller I/O, and strike/device wiring — no internal cabinet rewiring needed. Managed power monitoring reports AC supply status, device power-cycle control, and service-due alerts via the KT controller interface.
