Overview
The KT-2DE2-WTB is a factory pre-wired, two-door access control enclosure built to eliminate installation guesswork and wiring errors. All internal connections arrive secured and organized with tie-wrap bundling, allowing you to focus on deployment rather than harness configuration. This unit works as a complete hardware-and-software solution: deploy it standalone via embedded web server for basic two-door security, or integrate it with EntraPass Security Management Software for advanced multi-site control, Wi-Fi connectivity, and end-to-end encryption via ioSmart readers.
Compatibility
The KT-2DE2-WTB is engineered for the Kantech KT-2 two-door controller architecture. It supports two readers simultaneously and is compatible with Smart Card, Proximity, and Keypad credential types. Communication options include Wiegand, TCP/IP, RS-485, and RS-232 — giving you flexibility in network topology. When used with EntraPass v8.40 or higher, the controller gains Wi-Fi capability via its built-in antenna, reducing the need for extensive cable runs in locations with challenging infrastructure. Standalone mode operates without EntraPass software, using only a web browser for configuration.
Installation Notes
Power input is flexible: accept Power over Ethernet (PoE), PoE+, or direct 12VDC connection — choose based on your infrastructure. The pre-wired harness and organized tie-wrap bundling mean wiring validation and troubleshooting are straightforward. Single capacitive touch button on the controller enables fast enrollment without a separate configuration device. Compact form factor fits utility spaces, network closets, or control room mounting.
