Description

Honeywell LTEM-XV Verizon LTE-M Communicator for VISTA

Overview

The LTEM-XV is a cellular communicator module for Honeywell VISTA control panels, delivering LTE Cat-M1 and LTE Cat-1 connectivity via the Verizon network. It routes alarm signals and status messages through AlarmNet® and AlarmNet-i, supporting both Contact ID and ECP reporting modes. This module solves the multi-path redundancy problem: if your primary alarm transmission path fails (IP, landline, radio), LTE-M provides an always-on backup that reaches the central station without a separate router or broadband dependency.

Compatibility

The LTEM-XV integrates with Honeywell VISTA control panel series. Verify exact panel compatibility (VISTA-20P, VISTA-250BPT, etc.) with your system documentation or Honeywell technical support, as the module requires compatible firmware and panel configuration. It works within the AlarmNet-i ecosystem, so your receiver and central station software must support Verizon LTE-M message delivery.

Installation Notes

The communicator connects internally to the VISTA panel — no external antenna configuration or separate power supply needed. Installation requires panel programming via Honeywell's tools to assign the module to a communication port and configure reporting mode (Contact ID or ECP). Diagnostic LEDs indicate network signal strength and message delivery status. The module supports 256-bit AES encryption for all transmitted data, meeting commercial security standards. QOS (Quality of Service) diagnostics log message receipt timestamps and battery voltage, critical for troubleshooting missed signals or power anomalies.
