Honeywell LTE-21V Verizon LTE Communicator Module

Overview

The LTE-21V is a plug-in cellular communication module designed to add Verizon LTE radio capability to the VISTA-21IP control panel. It delivers alarm and status messages to a monitoring central station via the AlarmNet-I network, eliminating dependence on landline or primary broadband for signal transmission. Install this module when your VISTA-21IP site lacks reliable fixed-line connectivity or requires redundant communication paths alongside your primary connection method.

Compatibility

The LTE-21V installs only on VISTA-21IPLTE or V21SIALTE control boards. Verify your control panel revision before ordering — the module requires the LTE-capable variant. It does not retrofit to standard VISTA-21IP panels without the integrated LTE socket. AlarmNet-I account activation through your central station is mandatory; the module cannot function without active service.

Installation Notes

Power down the control panel and remove the battery before installation. Align the module board over the standoff holes and mating connector, then snap firmly until fully seated. Punch out the large wiring-hole knockout and adjacent smaller knockout from the cabinet's upper right and left topside. Position the supplied antenna adapter plate over the large knockout and snap into place. Secure the pre-connected antenna adapter cable's SMA connector to the plate using the provided washer and nut. After installation, affix the FCC "Contains Transmitter Module" label to the exterior cabinet surface where visible. The module ships with antenna adapter cables pre-connected; handle as ESD-sensitive — briefly touch a chassis ground before handling and avoid carpeted work areas.
