The CM-RH-DG is a stainless steel rain hood engineered to shelter outdoor-mounted keypads, pushbuttons, Sure Wave touchless switches, and keyswitches from rain, snow, and direct sunlight. The double gang configuration accommodates two side-by-side devices or a single wide credential reader in a standard electrical box or surface-mount back box. Its 2-inch deep top plate and contoured sidewalls keep weather off your device while leaving access unobstructed during normal operation. A foam gasket seals the junction between hood and mounting surface, preventing water seepage even on rough surfaces like brick or uneven concrete.
The CM-RH-DG fits standard double gang electrical boxes or Camden surface-mount double gang back boxes. It is compatible with keypad, keyswitch, pushbutton, and Sure Wave touchless switch installations requiring outdoor weather protection. If your access control deployment uses a credential reader or keypad mounted on an exterior wall or overhang, the CM-RH-DG shields the electronics from environmental degradation without modifying the device or control system itself.
Two installation methods are supported. For single gang electrical boxes, place the gasket on the back of the rain hood, feed mounting screws through the front of the hood and gasket, then thread into the box's threaded holes. For surface-mount back boxes, install the back box first, then attach the hood using the same gasket-first, screw-through-front method. Do not overtighten screws; confirm the gasket has conformed fully to the mounting surface or back box rim to ensure a weather seal. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion in salt-spray and humid environments, making it suitable for coastal and wet-climate deployments.
