Camden CX-95S-7E Magnetic Door Holder Extension Bar

Overview

The CX-95S-7E is a 7-inch extension bar designed to work with the Camden CX-95S series magnetic door holder. It extends the distance between the magnet body and the armature plate, allowing for installation flexibility when door frame geometry or strike positioning requires standoff from the main unit. This is the longer of two available bar lengths (3" and 7" options) and mounts directly to the CX-95S-DH surface/flush mount or CX-95S-DH-FL floor mount versions.

Compatibility

The CX-95S-7E extension bar integrates with the full Camden CX-95S-DH series magnetic door holders, including surface mount (CX-95S-DH, CX-95S-DH-BK) and floor mount variants (CX-95S-DH-FL, CX-95S-DH-FL-BK). It does not function as a standalone component—it must be paired with one of these base door holder units. The holding force rating remains the same as the parent unit: up to 30 lbs at 12V AC/DC, up to 35 lbs at 24V AC/DC, or up to 18 lbs at 120V AC. Power supply is drawn from the door holder magnet itself; no separate power requirement for the bar.

Installation Notes

The CX-95S-7E mounts to the magnet body using the same bracket system as the 3" bar. It is recommended where door frame depth, armature plate alignment, or strike offset requires the additional 7-inch standoff. Ensure the armature plate is properly adjusted to achieve square, parallel contact with the extension bar's magnetic face—misalignment reduces holding force and accelerates wear. All mounting hardware is included with the parent CX-95S-DH unit. Verify voltage compatibility (12/24V AC/DC or 120V AC) before installation to match your building's access control power supply.
