Overview
The Camden CX-95S-DH is a fail-safe magnetic door holder engineered for door release and retention in public, industrial, and commercial access control systems. Mount it surface or flush depending on your door frame condition—both options ship with hardware. Holding force reaches 35 lbs at 24V AC/DC, sufficient for standard single commercial doors in schools, hospitals, apartment buildings, and office complexes where you need passive door control integrated into your access control wiring.
Compatibility
The CX-95S-DH integrates into any door control circuit managed by an access control panel or relay output. It does not require specific reader pairing—it operates on simple voltage application. If your system outputs 12V, 24V (AC or DC), or 120V AC from an electrified lock control module, relay timer, or access control panel door release circuit, this magnet will mount and function. Tri-volt coil design means you wire once and select your voltage at commissioning, eliminating the need to stock multiple voltage SKUs.
Installation Notes
Surface mount footprint is 2-3/4″ W × 4-5/8″ L × 2-1/2″ D; flush mount reduces depth to 1-3/4″ for frame-recessed installation. The adjustable armature plate compensates for minor door frame misalignment—critical because magnetic holding force depends on gap consistency between magnet and armature. Current draw is minimal: 30–57 mA depending on voltage, so it won't overload a standard 500 mA relay output. Optional 3″ and 7″ extension bars accommodate non-standard door geometry. All mounting hardware is included; no additional fasteners required.
