Overview

The CX-95S-7E-BK is a 7-inch extension bar designed to offset the electromagnet from the strike plate in retrofit installations where standard spacing is insufficient. Use this when door frame geometry, trim, or mounting constraints prevent direct magnet-to-armature contact—it bridges the gap without requiring a different holder model or rework to your frame.

Compatibility

Pairs with Camden CX-95S-DH magnetic door holders (surface or flush mount). The CX-95S-7E-BK extends the magnet-to-strike distance by 7 inches, accommodating thicker door frames, protruding hardware, or offset strike installations. Camden also offers a 3-inch extension bar (CX-95S-3E) if you need less reach. Verify your existing holder model before ordering.

Installation Notes

Mount the extension bar using standard hardware included with your CX-95S-DH holder. The adjustable armature plate on the main holder accommodates minor misalignment—use this before forcing the extension bar. Holding force rating remains the same (up to 35 lbs at 24V AC/DC), but ensure your mounting surface (frame, door edge, or supplemental bracket) is rigid enough to handle the cantilever load created by the extended span.
