Axis P3245-LVE-3 Overview
The Axis P3245-LVE-3 is a discreet outdoor fixed dome camera purpose-built for automated vehicle access control and verification. This 1080p (2 MP) unit combines embedded License Plate Verifier analytics with rugged environmental protection—IP66/IP67 rated and IK10 vandal-resistant—making it ideal for toll booths, parking facilities, gate access points, and perimeter security where single-lane vehicle verification is required. The camera detects and verifies license plates at vehicle speeds up to 30 km/h (19 mph) within a 2 to 7 meter working distance, with plate reading time under 1 second.

- Forensic Wide Dynamic Range (WDR): Handles extreme backlighting scenarios (sunset glare, headlights, reflective surfaces) to maintain plate legibility in high-contrast environments.
- IK10 Vandal Resistance and IP66/IP67 Environmental Sealing: Rated for physical abuse and complete dust/water protection. Suitable for outdoor mounting on walls, ceilings, or junction boxes in harsh weather and high-traffic areas.
- Extended Operating Temperature Range: Operates reliably from -40°C to +50°C (-40°F to 122°F), supporting deployment in cold climates and direct sunlight exposure.
- Shock Detection: Built-in shock detection capability alerts operators to tampering or physical impact attempts.
- PoE Powered (802.3af Type 1 Class 3): Single power and data cable simplifies installation. Requires IEEE 802.3af midspan (not included).

Axis P3245-LVE-3 Integration and Compatibility
The P3245-LVE-3 integrates with access control systems and traffic management platforms via its I/O port for relay control of gates, barriers, and status indicators. The embedded License Plate Verifier application operates independently without requiring external VMS, though output can be logged to standard ONVIF-compatible video management systems for audit trails and forensic review. Configuration and allow/block list management are performed via the camera's web interface.
