ACTi PMAX-0820 Gang Box Converter
Overview
The PMAX-0820 is a junction box converter that routes ACTi compact cameras into standard 4-inch electrical enclosures — both round and octagonal. This accessory solves the flush-mount problem: when a customer has existing wall or ceiling box cutouts and wants to avoid surface-mounted brackets, the PMAX-0820 bridges the gap between the camera's mounting footprint and the gang box opening. Deploy it in new construction, retrofit scenarios, or anywhere standard electrical infrastructure already exists and you want a clean, recessed appearance.
Compatibility
The PMAX-0820 works with ACTi camera models A71, A74, Z91, Z94, and Z95. These are compact form-factor devices, and the converter is purpose-built for their mounting geometry. If you're deploying one of these models and your location has 4-inch round or octagonal boxes available, this converter eliminates the need for aftermarket brackets or surface-mounted housings. Integrates with standard PoE (802.3af) power delivery — no special considerations beyond what the camera itself requires.
Installation Notes
Verify box cutout size before ordering: the converter supports 4-inch round and 4-inch octagonal boxes only. Larger or smaller boxes will not seat properly. Position the camera and converter assembly during rough-in so electrical conduit and PoE cabling can route through the box without interference. Standard hand tools sufficient; no special torque specifications or power requirements beyond the camera's PoE draw.
