Overview

The PMAX-0806 is a gang box converter that bridges ACTi IP cameras into standard 4-inch round and octagon electrical boxes, eliminating the need for custom framing or surface-mount adapters. It draws power via PoE (802.3af), so you deploy it without running a separate power line — a straightforward fit for retrofit installations and new construction where camera placement aligns with existing wall infrastructure.

Compatibility

The PMAX-0806 integrates with ACTi B4x-series cameras and E39, E44, E45, E46, E44A, E45A, and E46A models. Confirm your specific camera series against the product family before ordering; compatibility is limited to these designated models.

Installation Notes

The converter mounts inside a standard 4-inch electrical box (round or octagon type). PoE delivery is handled through the camera's existing network cable — no additional power terminals or auxiliary wiring required. Ensure the electrical box is properly secured to your mounting surface (wall or ceiling) and that cable routing does not exceed the box interior depth. The converter itself is compact (4.9 in. × 5.0 in. × 0.6 in. packaged) and lightweight (0.3 lb), making it suitable for standard drywall or masonry installation scenarios.
