ACTi PMAX-0812 Gang Box Converter
Overview
The PMAX-0812 is a gang box converter that bridges standard 4-inch electrical junction boxes to ACTi network camera installations. It centralizes power distribution and cabling within wall cavities and conduit runs, eliminating the need for separate power supplies at individual mounting points. PoE (802.3af) operation draws power directly from your network infrastructure, reducing installation labor and maintaining clean aesthetic in retrofit and new-construction deployments where conduit boxes are already in place.
Compatibility
The PMAX-0812 supports ACTi camera models A88, A92, A94, and A96. It integrates with standard 4-inch round and 4-inch octagon electrical boxes, making it suitable for commercial and institutional surveillance where building infrastructure follows electrical code standards. The converter bridges network drops to camera mounting points without requiring additional wall-mounted enclosures or external power distribution blocks.
Installation Notes
Install the PMAX-0812 inside the electrical box cavity before mounting the camera. Ensure PoE power is available at the network drop feeding the box — typical 802.3af PoE supplies sufficient power for the supported camera models. The converter is designed for indoor deployment in controlled electrical enclosures and wall cavities; do not expose to moisture or outdoor conditions. Standard network cabling (Cat5e or better) carries both power and video to the installation point.
