Overview
The ACTi CMS-200 is a 1600-channel rackmount video management system designed for large-scale surveillance deployments requiring centralized control and monitoring. This standalone unit consolidates video from dozens of cameras into a single 1-bay chassis, delivering a 64-channel synchronized display layout alongside e-Map visualization, making it suited for command centers, multi-site NOCs, and enterprise security operations where real-time situational awareness across hundreds of endpoints is non-negotiable. The CMS-200 includes a 200-channel free license, reducing immediate software licensing overhead in new deployments.
Compatibility
The CMS-200 integrates with IP camera systems using standard ONVIF protocols, supporting mixed H.265, H.264, and MJPEG streams from ACTi and third-party camera vendors. It is engineered to manage large camera populations in distributed surveillance architectures—retail networks, transportation hubs, perimeter monitoring, and industrial campuses. The system supports audio input for synchronized recording and forensic playback. Thermal imaging capability expands use cases to temperature-sensitive monitoring and thermal perimeter security. PoE compatibility streamlines network integration where available, though the system operates on standard AC 100–240V power.
Installation Notes
The CMS-200 mounts in a standard 19-inch rack as a 1-bay unit, designed for NOC and control room environments. Internal storage disks are not included—procurement and installation of suitable storage arrays are required separately. Network connectivity is essential; configure dedicated network segments to isolate surveillance traffic from production LAN if compliance or performance isolation is required. DVI, VGA, and DisplayPort outputs support multi-monitor control room layouts. Audio input requires standard line-level or microphone-level source connections depending on camera audio encoding.
