The KL1508AIN accepts both PS/2 and USB keyboard/mouse connections, so it drops into mixed-generation server environments without requiring uniform peripheral standards across all nodes. Remote access via IP card (firmware v1.6.155) means you can reach connected servers from anywhere on the network without a separate crash cart or out-of-band appliance. Port selection via OSD, hotkeys, or front-panel pushbuttons gives you three redundant methods to switch focus — useful when a system is partially unresponsive and hotkeys may not register. Auto-scan across ports runs on a configurable 1–255 second interval, which lets you set a sweep cadence matched to your monitoring workflow rather than a fixed default. Power input is universal 100–240V AC via IEC 60320/C14, so the unit installs in North American or international rack environments without an adapter.
