Description

Middle Atlantic UFA-14.5-4 1RU Universal Fixed Rack Shelf — 4-Pack

Overview

The UFA-14.5-4 is a 1RU fixed-depth rack shelf from Middle Atlantic, sold as a four-pack for integrators equipping multiple rack bays at once. Each shelf occupies a single rack unit, extends 14.5 inches into the cabinet, and supports up to 25 lbs — enough headroom for small AV components, managed switches, power distribution units, or security appliances that don't ship with rack ears. The 1.75-inch usable height clears most half-rack-height devices, and the 19-inch standard width drops into any EIA-standard rack enclosure without modification. Black powder-coat finish matches standard Middle Atlantic rack interiors. Buying the UFA-14.5-4 four-pack makes sense on multi-bay installations where you're standardizing shelf depth across the project — unit cost drops versus buying singles, and you have spares on hand when the scope expands.

Compatibility

Fits any EIA/ANSI-standard 19-inch rack rail — compatible with Middle Atlantic rack systems including the ERK, BGR, and PD series enclosures, as well as third-party 19-inch open-frame and enclosed racks from Chatsworth, Belden, Legrand, and similar. The 14.5-inch depth fits inside most 16-inch and deeper rack cabinets; verify cabinet interior usable depth before ordering if your rack is shallower than 16 inches. Vertical inside mounting points (2 per shelf) attach to standard square-hole or threaded-hole rack rails using customer-supplied rack screws. Not intended for heavy switching or server hardware — the 25-lb per-shelf capacity suits lightweight NVR appliances, fiber patch panels, small PoE injectors, and similar sub-25-lb components. For heavier loads, consider Middle Atlantic's vented or cantilever shelf variants rated for higher capacity.
