Overview
The Middle Atlantic UFA-8 is a 1RU, 19-inch wide universal rack shelf designed to mount small devices — DVRs, cable boxes, media converters, small UPS units, or similar equipment — inside standard EIA-310 equipment racks. At 8 inches of usable depth and a 35 lb (15.9 kg) weight capacity, the UFA-8 handles the majority of compact electronics you'd need to park in a rack without dedicated mounting ears. The black powder-coat steel construction keeps it durable in any rack environment, and the 1.75-inch usable interior height gives you clearance for standard small-form-factor devices. This is the shelf to reach for when a device lacks rack ears and you need a clean, stable mounting solution in a single rack unit of space.
Compatibility
Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 equipment rack with a 1RU opening — compatible with Middle Atlantic racks and enclosures as well as third-party open-frame and enclosed rack systems from APC, Tripp Lite, Chatsworth, Eaton, and similar manufacturers. The 8-inch depth is suited to compact devices such as small NVRs, PoE injectors, IP audio equipment, and access control appliances that don't exceed 8 inches front-to-back. Not intended for full-depth servers or 2-post relay racks where depth support is a concern — verify your rack mounting accessories depth clearance before ordering. Two mounting points secure the shelf to the rack rail.
