The CNFE1005M2 is a 10/100 Mbps electrical-to-optical media converter that bridges copper Ethernet runs to single-mode or multimode fiber spans. Deploy this when your surveillance backbone, access control lines, or IP intercom feeds need to cross distance or electrical noise without dedicated conduit—fiber runs up to 20 km (singlemode) or 3 km (multimode) with zero latency degradation. The unit auto-negotiates 10 or 100 Mbps, handles full or half-duplex, and passes through any data encoding without modification. Arrives powered and ready to mount.

Compatibility

The CNFE1005M2 pairs with any surveillance, access control, or network device using standard RJ-45 10/100 Ethernet output. Multimode fiber (typical in shorter campus runs, less than 2 miles) and singlemode fiber (extended backbone routes, up to 12 miles) are both supported via selectable ST or SC connectors. One- or two-fiber configurations are available within the CNFE100X series—verify your specific fiber type and connector layout when ordering to ensure pin alignment.
