Overview

The Middle Atlantic VT1 is a 1 RU (1.75 in.) flanged vent panel designed to fill open rack space while maintaining airflow in rack enclosures and equipment cabinets. At 64% open area, it moves significantly more air than solid blanks — a practical choice in any rack bay where heat-generating equipment runs above or below an empty slot. The VT1 ships as a single panel in black powder coat finish and mounts in any standard 19-inch rack via 2 mounting points. Keep the MPN VT1 handy when ordering: the Middle Atlantic rack accessory line includes multiple vent panel heights and configurations, and the 1U form factor is the most common for single-slot gaps.

Compatibility

Fits any EIA-standard 19-inch rack or rack enclosure with a 1 RU opening — including open-frame and enclosed network racks, AV equipment racks, security NVR cabinets, and patch panel enclosures. The 19 in. (48.3 cm) panel width and 1.75 in. (4.4 cm) height conform to standard rack unit spacing, making the VT1 compatible with Middle Atlantic's own rack lines as well as third-party 19-in EIA racks from manufacturers such as Tripp Lite, APC, Chatsworth, and Rittal. Confirm your rack accepts standard 10-32 or 12-24 cage nut or square-hole mounting before ordering — the VT1 uses 2 mounting points at standard rack-ear spacing. Not compatible with 23-in or ETSI-width racks.

Installation Notes

The flanged style means the panel face sits flush against the rack rail with no additional hardware required beyond your rack's standard mounting screws or cage nuts. Depth is only 0.51 in. (1.3 cm), so it will not intrude on cable runs or adjacent equipment in tight rack bays. Light blocking is not provided — if preventing light bleed between rack sections is a requirement, use a solid blank instead. TAA compliance is not applicable to this SKU.
