Overview
The Middle Atlantic UP1 is a 1 rack unit (1.75 in.) horizontal utility panel built for standard 19-inch EIA racks. At just 0.51 inches deep, the UP1 is the go-to filler for open rack slots in rack enclosures and open-frame racks where unused space needs to be closed off — improving airflow management, reducing dust ingress, and keeping cable runs organized. If you're building out a Middle Atlantic rack system or any standard 19-inch enclosure and have open 1U gaps between active equipment, the UP1 drops in without modification. Compatibility
Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 rack — including Middle Atlantic's ERK, RK, and WRK series enclosures, as well as third-party open-frame and enclosed racks following the EIA-310-D standard. At 19 inches wide and 1.75 inches tall (1 RU), it drops into any standard rack rail without adapters or additional hardware. Zero offset means flush front-face mounting — no recessed or extended profile to work around. Compatible with rack cable management panels and blanks from any vendor sharing the EIA-310 rail pattern.
Installation Notes
The UP1 mounts directly to standard rack rails. Its 0.51-inch depth keeps it well clear of rear-mounted equipment and cable bundles — no clearance conflicts even in shallow-depth racks. Shipping weight is 0.08 lbs, so no load-bearing concern on any rail configuration. No tools beyond a standard screwdriver are required; cage nuts and rack screws are not included and should be sourced separately to match your rail type (10-32, 12-24, or M6).
