Description

Middle Atlantic VTF1 1RU Vented Rack Panel

Overview

The Middle Atlantic VTF1 is a 1U flanged rack panel with a fine perforation pattern delivering 64% open area — the right filler panel when you need airflow between active components rather than a solid blank that traps heat. At just 0.51 in. deep and 1.75 in. tall, the VTF1 fills unused rack space in standard 19-in. enclosures while keeping convective airflow paths open across chassis boundaries. Finished in black powder coat, it matches Middle Atlantic rack aesthetics without surface corrosion concerns in conditioned equipment rooms.

Compatibility

Fits any EIA-standard 19-in. rack or enclosure accepting flanged 1U panels — including Middle Atlantic's ERK, BGR, PD, and WRK series racks and enclosures, as well as third-party 19-in. cabinets conforming to EIA-310-D mounting rail spacing. Two mounting points secure the panel to standard rack rails. Use it to fill single-unit gaps between NVRs, PoE switches, patch panels, and video management appliances in security head-end racks — or stack multiples to fill larger voids while maintaining front-to-back airflow.

Installation Notes

Panel mounts via 2 standard rack screws (not included) across the flanged front face. The 0.51-in. depth keeps it clear of cable management channels at the rear of shallow enclosures. No tools beyond a standard screwdriver are required. Note that the VTF1 is not TAA compliant — verify procurement requirements before specifying on government contracts.
